Let's talk security
I can’t begin to tell you how much time we spend every week talking about InfoSec, data policies and privacy guidelines. That’s how important security is to us.
Since Albus works on top of Slack and integrates with Google Drive (and soon will with Slack channels, Notion pages, Atlassian, Wikipedia articles, Dropbox and more), we cut ourselves no slack. No puns intended!
Getting serious, we’ve got some good news for you all.
Albus now has a Data Processing Agreement with OpenAI directly.
Read about our policies here.
TL;DR: at Albus,
Every question goes through OpenAI’s moderation to ensure it’s safe for work.
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Springworks (the company behind Albus) is ISO 27001 certified and achieved MS365 certifications from Microsoft for our other Slack apps Trivia and EngageWith.
We are currently in the process of SOC2 Type II and ISO 27701.
Albus only gets access to your data after you authenticate and explicitly decide to train on it. For example, this happens when you authenticate Google Drive and select a document for your company wiki.
All data is sent to OpenAI for search but OpenAI deletes the data within 30 days and does not use it for training ever.
All answers will have an upvote and escalation system to maintain accuracy.
All answers have a report option to escalate to our teams to check for errors.
In the future, we’ll explore open source LLMs and also on prem deployments of Albus.
