Features inspired by user behaviour
Uncovering opportunities for new features by understanding user behaviour
[Coming soon on Albus]
As a designer, one of my favorite aspects of my job is observing how the products I've designed are being used and uncovering unexpected user behaviors. These discoveries often lead to exciting opportunities to improve our products in collaboration with our talented Product and Engineering teams.
Recently, we encountered one such opportunity - the ability to train on sources attached to Slack messages.
We noticed that many of our users were sending files through Slack and asking questions based on the file's content. However, Albus couldn't provide answers because these sources were often not part of their company's wiki.
This insight sparked our curiosity and set us on a path to address this challenge and build a feature that works for this use case.
We understand that relying solely on existing company resources or external references from AI to find answers can be time-consuming and may not always yield the desired results.
With this upcoming feature, Albus will be able to answer from sources attached in prompt messages sent to him! This means you will soon be able to train Albus directly on sources attached in Slack messages.
So, how does it work?
When you encounter a question that requires referencing a particular document, you need to attach the file as part of the question you ask Albus. He identifies the attachment, processes the information, and answers from it.
And what's even better? If you are an admin, you can add this source to your wiki as well.
As of now, we support these file types: .doc, .docx, .csv, .pptx, .pdf, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. But soon, we will support multiple other file types as well! Your feedback is invaluable to us.
We encourage you to share your experiences, ask questions, and provide further details about your interactions with this new feature.
Thank you for being a part of the Albus community. We are thrilled to have you on board as we embark on this exciting journey of transforming the way you access and share knowledge.
